Recently taken over by Ryan and Heather Mayo of Thomas a' Becket Worthing fame. The couple who made our 40th wedding anniversary soooo brilliant an evening. Whilst not making massive immediate changes, it can be said that Ryan and Heather bring their own touches toThe Murrell. Good Luck and sincere best wishes.

Absurdly expensive for a village drinkers pub. When you walk in the first thing is that a menu is pushed in your face. Wait ages for food that is nothing special yet pricey. Warm beer, warm flat lager. Very expensive wine. If they want to turn it into a 'gastropub' then get a chef that can cook not a cook that can't. Lose all your regulars which is slowly happening. Get the place back to how it was when Mervyn and Daphne were there for all that time. It worked for them. No further visits necessary. 47 years of getting it right, down the drain.

Still the old Murrell but with a bit more to offer, finally we can have a cold beer on a hot day! The garden has had a bit of a make over and seems alot more family friendly. Nice traditional menu the special with pan fried duck with plum sauce was a bit more expensive, but well worth it! shame we didn't have room for a dessert. Good to see the thursday night singers are still going and the usaual faces are still about. I've always loved this pub but it was starting to look a bit neglected, nice to see some passion injected back into a much loved local bozzer
